PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hi All! Our first show is done and in the books and it was a great one. The first day was capped off with lots of delicious chili for the cook off and our Painted Dreams Walk Jog/Trot challenge was a class full of excellent horses on the second day.
This year we tried increasing the size of the hitching ring just a bit, subsequently reducing the size of the show pen. The majority of the feedback on this was very positive. We'd love to hear from you if you've got anything to add.
Watch for our youth out and about selling raffle tickets for this year's fundraiser. We are raffling off an electric scooter. This really saved my legs, knees and feet at the horse show. You definitely want to get in on the chance to win a brand new one for yourself!
I'm really looking forward to our upcoming Kestrel Ridge Team Skills Competition. With $500 in added prize money, it's sure to be a crowd favourite. Check our Facebook page if you're looking for a team to join. This will be held on Saturday at the completion of the regular show day. Full class details are on the website. Don't forget our free exhibitors dinner of walking tacos!
We'll be having a Photo Booth at the June show where you can take fun photos with your horse. There will be lots of props and I can't wait to see the creativity! Be sure to post those pics using #ontariopainthorseclub.
On a side note, 5 bags of shavings were removed at the show from the drug testing stall where they were stored. Unfortunately this is a straight loss for the club. If you should need to purchase extra shavings, please ask at the show office and they will be brought to your stall for you.

OPHC has adopted a new Drug Testing Policy which is effective immediately. All exhibitors are encouraged to review this policy before entering an OPHC show.
REMINDER
- Dogs are NOT permitted in the show arena while a show is in progress. Please keep all dogs away from the rail while a show is in progress. Dogs MUST be leashed at all times while on the show grounds.
