PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hi everyone!
I hope you're enjoying the short break in the show season. Our July show was the largest we have hosted in many years. It was super fun with our Steady Hand Showmanship being one of the highlights. The costumes and the amount of entries and enthusiasm for this event were amazing!
The Showdown buckle classes were very well attended with the majority of our Grand and reserve champions being APHA registered horses. The OPHC is pleased to be able to promote the breed with these classes.
Our September show is shaping up to be another great one. With our $250 added money all breed stake classes and our year end potluck party, there will be something for everyone. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and let us know what you can add to the potluck supper. This was an incredible meal last year and you definitely don't want to miss out.
We are still selling tickets on the electric scooter as a youth/amateur fundraiser. This supports our top 5 year end awards. Thank you for your support of this. I have one of these scooters and it really saves my feet and knees at the shows!
See you all in September!
Liz
