Hello Everyone!

Last week I had the privilege of attending the APHA Leadership Gathering in Fort Worth, Texas. I was able to meet and speak with some of the directors regarding the unique challenges we face here in Ontario. I also attended the competition committee meeting where they discussed rule change proposals. It was very impressive to see how much say members have in this process. Check the APHA website and social media pages for full details on new rule changes. 

Wandering through the APHA headquarters and viewing the huge bronzes in the middle of Mule alley were the icing on the cake to a fantastic weekend. Special thanks to Dawn Lelakowski, the director from NY for being a great travel companion!

If you have any questions regarding the new rule changes, please feel free to reach out to me. Our first show of the season is coming up quickly! I'm excited to see all of you and catch up on what's new with you after such a cold winter. 

It's still crockpot season and we'll be having a 'Crock-pot-Luck' dinner at the May show. Plan on bringing your favorite to share! An OPHC potluck dinner never disappoints. 

Stall bookings are already rolling in for the show, so get yours reserved. You won't want to miss out on the kickoff to the 2026 season!

OPHC has adopted a new Drug Testing Policy which is effective immediately. All exhibitors are encouraged to review this policy before entering an OPHC show.

REMINDER

• Dogs are NOT permitted in the show arena while a show is in progress. Please keep all dogs away from the rail while a show is in progress. Dogs MUST be leashed at all times while on the show grounds.
