PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Happy Spring everyone!

We are having a little run of some beautiful weather and it's definitely giving me the horse show bug. I've started prepping my trailer and trying on some show clothes (the Diet has started). It's a great time for the trailer maintenance like checking tires, brakes, bearings and all those things to ensure you make it to your shows safely.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at our May show after an exceptionally cold winter. We have our Crick-pot Luck dinner planned for everyone on Sunday evening and our annual Painted Dreams Walk Jog/Trot challenge class. This class is a great opportunity for all horses and always draws an enthusiastic crowd.

Lastly, I'm sad to spread the news of the passing of Ron Knox on April 11, 2026. He and his wife Mary have been long time supporters of the OPHC. Please keep his daughters Leanne and Andrea and their families in your thoughts at this time.

Best Regards,

Liz

P.S. Just a quick reminder that our May show takes place May 17 & 18, the Sunday and Monday of the Victoria Day Weekend.
