THE RULES

  • 1 exhibitor per horse
  • Maximum of 2 helpers + 1 wheelbarrow per horse. Everything required for each tack change must be at ringside at the start of the class.
  • Maximum 5 minutes per tack change. Show as you are after 5 minutes!
  • The 1st person mounted after the 1st tack change will be awarded 3 seconds off their barrel racing time. The 2nd person mounted after the 1st tack change will be awarded 2 seconds off their barrel racing time. The 3rd person mounted after the 1st tack change will be awarded 1 second off their barrel racing time.
  • The entire class will be placed after each component with points awarded on a 1 point per entry basis. i.e. if there are 10 entries, the 1st place horse will be awarded 10 points, the 2nd place horse will be awarded 9 points, and so on ...
  • Ties in final points will be decided based on the fastest barrel racing time. If there is still a tie, a barrel racing run-off will be held.
